The main toolbar also has some status buttons:

• NTS:
  When this button is highlighted (as in the graphic above), it means you are connected to the NTS system. If for some reason the NTS system goes down while you are logged in, the NTS button will become grey (like the MAIL button in the graphic).
• DEPT:
  When this button is highlighted (as in the graphic above), it means the department of which you are a member has unopened text messages. Read these messages by going into the Message Viewer and choosing the department catagory.
• MAIL:
  When this button is highlighted (in the graphic above MAIL is NOT highlighted), it means you have unopened text messages. Read these messages by going into the Message Viewer.
